For the past 12 years, we have been recycling adult and children's bikes and giving the proceeds to charity. Bikes are brought in, we give them some much-needed TLC and sell them on. So far we have sold over 1,400 bikes raising £69,000 for our charities.
To show how popular the sale at St Mary's Church, Barnes is, there is usually a queue of 50-60 people waiting for the gates to open at 9.00am on Barnes Fair Day.

BUY A BIKE
CHILDREN’S BIKE SALE
This year’s Annual Charity Sale of second hand bikes at St Mary’s Church will start with the sale of children’s bikes on Friday 12 July 2019 from 3.30 – 5.00 pm.
TEENAGE AND ADULT BIKE SALE
The following day, Barnes Fair Day, Saturday 13 July 2019 we’ll hold the Teenage and Adult Bike Sale from 9.00 am – 12.30 pm.
The gates will open at 9.00. A queue often forms from 8.00am. About half the adult bikes will be sold within an hour!
SELL A BIKE
We take in bikes, give them some TLC and sell them on. You can donate your bike to charity or for bikes worth over £50, we offer a 50/50 share of proceeds.
Bikes should be brought to the church at the following times:
Saturday 22 Jun | 10 am – midday
Saturday 29 June | 10 am – midday
Saturday, 6 July | 10 am – midday
Tuesday 9 July | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
Thursday 11 July | 1 pm – 6 pm
PARKING while you deliver your bike: Use Kitson Road (to the west of the church) and roads leading north from there (MAP). There are NO parking restrictions in these roads at any of the above delivery times. Beware restrictions on Church Road and other roads.
If you are not able to bring your bike to St Mary’s, we can offer a free pick up of your bike(s) from your house through Tiptapp, an app that helps move things in and out of your home. Read more about this service in the FAQ section

What happens when I bring my bike in?
You will be asked to fill out a form giving your contact details. We ask if you are prepared to donate 100% of the final sale price or 50% (offered if sale price of £50 and over is achieved).
Can I volunteer to help?
Yes! We need lots of help for each sale including bike mechanics, administrators, bike cleaners, general helpers and tea makers Please visit our Vacancies page to see if you can offer some time.
